Sunday and I have always had a love-hate relationship. On one hand Sunday practically begs for a comfy afternoon, my favorite pair of leggings and something on Netflix. On the other, Sunday is an unfortunate reminder of all the homework that I neglected to bother with. With all of these conflicting messages, it can be hard to understand Sunday. What does Sunday want from me? Is it cool if breakfast is at noon? Do I study for that test I just remembered I have? Should I look cute? The most challenging part of our relationship is easily making the decision on whether or not I should go to the gym. This has been a long relationship and certainly not an easy one. That being said here are a few things about
the gym and Sunday:
- I think that going to the gym is a great way to start your Sunday. Get it out of the way in the morning before you start doing all you need to be ready for the week.
- If you don't want to go to the gym, don't go. It's okay. But if you decide it's not happening at least try to get some exercise in. Go for walk. Do some crunches. Take the stairs a couple extra times.
In case you were wondering- the answer is no. No, I have not made it to the gym today and I am most definitely not planning on making an appearance there this evening. Happy Sunday!
I know how this is but with swimming. I find it very difficult to go and try to workout on my own without someone there keeping me going. If I can find someone to work out with then I will usually do a sold workout, but if not then its about a sold 5-10 of doing 2 minutes of working out and the rest of the time pondering if I should continue or not.
ReplyDeleteI've struggled with this not only on Sundays, but everyday of the week. I used to wake up around 4 and work out for an hour before getting ready for the day, however, now I have two jobs, and go to school full time. I knowing I needed a more healthy lifestyle, I made an effort to incorporate healthy activities into my busy day. So, I began coaching a middle school cheering team. So even though I'm more busy now, I have two hours every day where I can challenge myself physically and help others do the same! Even still, I have these Sundays where Netflix is screaming my name.
